We are delighted to be opening our new school-based pre-school for children aged 3 and 4 in January 2027, offering a wonderful start to their educational journey at St Anne’s Fulshaw CE Primary School.

Led by Mr Harley, our Deputy Headteacher and Early Years Lead, our mixed Pre-School and Reception class combines expert teaching, purposeful play and individual attention.

Through exciting indoor and outdoor learning experiences, children develop confidence, independence and friendships, laying strong foundations for a lifelong love of learning.

Opening Hours and Sessions

Our pre-school will be open Monday to Friday, during school term time, from 8.40 am to 3.20 pm.

Morning, afternoon and full-day sessions will be available, with flexible attendance options to suit families.

Whether your child is entitled to 15 or 30 funded hours, we will be happy to discuss different attendance patterns, subject to availability. Additional paid sessions are also available.

Before and After School provision

For families requiring additional childcare, St Anne’s also offers a separate wraparound care provision, available before school from 7.30 am and after school until 6.00 pm.

Pre-School Funding and Fees

We offer both 15-hour and 30-hour government-funded places.

• 15 funded hours: Available to all children aged 3 and 4, from the term after their third birthday.

• 30 funded hours: Available to eligible working families who have obtained a childcare funding code.

Funding covers 38 weeks per year (term time). For a January 2027 start, eligible families should apply for their 30-hour funding code by 31 December 2026.

Additional Sessions and Charges

Pre-School Uniform

We love seeing our youngest children feel part of the St Anne’s family! While full school uniform is optional, we ask that children wear a St Anne’s jumper or cardigan to help them feel a sense of belonging and pride in their school.

Come Along to Our Pre-School Taster Sessions!

We would love to welcome prospective children and families to explore our new pre-school, enjoy some fun activities and meet our Early Years team.

Our November 2026 taster sessions are:

• Monday 9 November – 10.30 am

• Wednesday 18 November – 4.30 pm

• Thursday 26 November – 2.30 pm
