Chestnut Class - Year 3 and Year 4 2024 - 2025

Welcome to Chestnut Class

I'm really looking forward to welcoming my new class of Year 3 and 4 children in September.

Here are some of the  things we have to look forward to this term...

English- To tie in with our geography theme, we will be learning about Ernest Shackleton's historical journey to Antarctica.

Geography- We will be learning about the continent of Antarctica.

Maths- More fabulous White Rose Maths, TTRockstars

PE-  Football with Stockport FC again.

Science- Learning about different rocks, soils and fossils

Art - Our focus will be on drawing, looking at the work of illustrators like Quentin Blake

I can't wait to see what our class have been reading, what you have been up to and where you have been over the holiday.

We have plans for a craft idea and will need lots of balls of wool, so please see if you can bring in any odd balls of wool for us - bright colours would be lovely.
