Happy new year to everyone associated with Chestnut Class and

St. Anne's Fulshaw.

Here is a little taste of what is to come this term:

Our new English text will be "Dear Earth" by Isabel Otter, an inspiring story with a strong envorinmental message. This ties in well with our geography topic on Rainforests and why they matter to us.

In science we will be looking further into rocks and fossils, having touched on this subject when looking at volcanoes and later moving on to Living Things and their habitats.

Chestnut Class always take part in the Big Garden Birdwatch organised by the RSPB every January. This year it will take place between January 23rd and January 25th.

Here is a link for anyone who wants to get ahead of the game. Big Garden Birdwatch

PE will continue to be on Thursdays and Fridays, so please make sure kit is in school on these days. As the weather has become much colder, please include lots of warm layers, gloves and for girls who wear tights, a change of socks.

If you have any queries, you are welcome to contact either of us on the emails below.
